  • Do you ever feel like there’s more to nutrition than just ‘good’ or ‘bad’ foods?

  • Are you interested in exploring the different things that influence our relationship with food?

  • Would you value talking about the stigma and emotion connected to nutrition in a safe and open environment?

Our ideas about nutrition can be influenced and shaped in many ways. This course explores our relationship with food and nutrition, the many different factors that contribute to how food makes us feel and the choices we make, and the connection between mental health and nutrition.

We will reflect on the evidence surrounding the role of nutrition in health and wellbeing. We’ll also hear stories of people who have experienced a link between their mental health and their relationship with food and nutrition. The course will look at the way emotions, stigma and values affect how we relate to food and nutrition.

In exploring these ideas, you’ll be encouraged to look at multiple ways of thinking about nutrition, to share in personal values and experiences, and to connect with others around their similarities as well as their differences.
