Understanding Self – Harm [In-Person]

This course is great if you are: 

• Wanting to have more open and compassionate conversations about self-harm
• Interested in learning ways to reduce self-harm
• Curious about how to respond safely and supportively to self-harm
• Keen to understand different perspectives and experiences around self-harm 

This course explores … 

We’ll look at the complexity of self-harm through both lived and professional perspectives. Together, we’ll examine the impact of language, common assumptions, and the different functions self-harm can serve. You’ll have the chance to reflect on your own views, learn about supportive strategies, and explore ways to have safe, real, and compassionate conversations about self-harm.

• Learn ways to have more compassionate conversations about self-harm
