Understanding Self – Harm [In Person]

November 12 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Free

This course is great if you:

would like to have more open and compassionate conversations about self-harm

are interested in learning more about how to reduce self-harm

would like to explore ideas about how to respond to self-harm

Often people find it difficult to talk about self-harm. In this course, we’ll hear theory and lived experience perspectives around this experience.

We’ll talk about language and assumptions that surround self-harm and dive into how to have more safe, open and real conversations about this experience.

We’ll explore how complex it really is and hopefully by hearing some different perspectives, you’ll be able to find some ideas that work for you, someone you support or someone you are working with.

Through the voices of lived and professional experience in relation to self-harm, we’ll explore tools, techniques and strategies for managing or supporting the experience of self-harm.
