we are based a headspace Bentleigh in south East Melbourne (AUSTRALIA)
and are currently funded through Alfred Health and headspace Early Psychosis
we create spaces for uncomfortable
conversations, humility, vulnerability, and curiosity
we don’t try and present “rights” or “wrongs” about mental health –
different perspectives to co-exist alongside each other so you can make up your own mind
we don’t just welcome everyone – we want everyone to shape who we are and what we do

we align with the principles of recovery

What do we believe?

we make purposeful, informed choices with our
words when we create
stories and meaning

we honour different kinds of expertise –
people with experience working in the mental health fields, people with lived experience of mental health challenges, and people who care for people with lived experience.

we shape outcome that give our students access to rich and varied knowledge provided by multiple kinds of expertise.

isn't this for young people?

young people live in communities

they have families and friends

they access mental health services run by professionals

so we build and run courses that focus on the
mental health experiences of young people

but open the courses up to everyone because we reckon that the
more communities know about how to support young people

the better off young people (and their communities) will be
